Score 88/100 · Drink 1996-1999, Robert Parker, Aug 1996
One of the most complex and complete wines I have recently tasted from the Coteaux du Languedoc, this excellent Syrah/Grenache blend reveals a deep dark ruby color, and a spicy, fragrant, Provencal-scented nose (aromas of thyme, olives, red and black fruits, and garrigue). This is a round, luscious, opulently-textured wine with admirable complexity and finesse. There are not many wines from this region (both tank-fermented and aged) that possess this amount of fruit and complexity. Drink it over the next 2-3 years. Bravo!
