Tasting notes
Full bottle 1,342 g. Certified organic. Same price as many of the other vintages of this wine listed by J & B – although the 2021 is much more expensive. Transparent garnet with a very pale rim. Fresh, clean, pretty perfume and no shortage of pretty, non-exaggerated fruit. This doesn't taste too heavy or too sweet but has good freshness and very light, ripe tannins. Quite long and complete. Medium-bodied and really just what you look for in a fine red from the Côte de Beaune. Not a bad price in the current climate … (JR)

Cask sample. Racy and lively. Rather transparent. Mmm! Very 21st century! Extraordinarily approachable already but lots of fun, and persistent. (JR)
The 2020 Beaune Grèves 1er Cru has a well-defined bouquet with red cherries, cranberry and a touch of bergamot, quite discrete with a damp earthy scent tucked behind. The palate is medium-bodied with fine grain tannins, a fine bead of acidity, quite pepper towards the finish, which likes the Montrevenots, might deceive you into thinking there is some whole bunch. Expansive on the finish. Excellent.
