Tasting notes
Tarlant’s 2007 Blanc de Noirs La Vigne Royale originates from the south-facing lieu-dit Mocque Tonneau in Celles-lès-Condé, planted to massal-selection Pinot Noir in 1991. Aged in wood for eight months and disgorged in June 2022, it delivers aromas of pear, dried flowers, toasted bread and pastry mingling with notes of lime zest. Medium- to full-bodied, vinous and tensile, it boasts a fine-boned profile, bright acidity and a long, bone-dry finish. This is only the second release of the cuvée—the first being the 2003—and while less exuberant than its predecessor, it is a firmer, more incisive rendition.

The 2007 Brut Nature La Vigne Royale is 100% Pinot Noir from the Mocque Tonneau lieu-dit in Celles-lès-Condé. Rich and vinous in the glass, the Vigne Royale exudes Pinot character in its aromas, flavors and textures. Dried cherry fruit, cedar, tobacco and dried herbs build effortlessly in a resonant, super-expressive Champagne that hits all the right notes. Disgorged: October 15, 2025.
