The 2021 Chablis Montmains 1er Cru, which was taken from stainless steel tank (as usual), was showing just a little more reduction on the nose compared to the Côte de Léchet. But it clarifies nicely with aeration, well-defined, an attractive flinty scent that emerges with time. The palate is firm with clear acidity; it has good mid-palate grip and intensity as it fans out towards the finish with a yellow pithy fruit lingering on the finish. Excellent.
