The 2020 Syrah 393 offers a rich profile of juicy, ripe red fruit with luscious herbal and spicy notes, complemented by pronounced meaty, savory and peppery elements. Medium to full-bodied, this wine initially appears subdued but gradually grows in intensity on the palate, showcasing its robust 15% alcohol content with a firm tannic edge that pairs perfectly with barbecue. Aged for 20 months in barrels, with 30% new fine-grained, slow-toasted small French oak used in the first year and older oak in the second, this Syrah was crafted with minimal intervention, including only two gentle rackings. This is a bold choice for those who appreciate a strong and flavorful Syrah. Only 2,556 bottles were produced.
