Tasting notes
The 2021 Chablis Butteaux Vieilles Vignes 1er Cru is well composed and energetic on the nose, with lovely white peach and subtle nectarine scents emerging in the glass. The oak is very well integrated. The palate is well balanced with a taut line of acidity, the most saline within this group, very harmonious and impressive in terms of complexity on the finish. An excellent Chablis for the vintage. Tasted blind at the Burgfest tasting.

The 2021 Chablis 1er Cru Butteaux Vieilles Vignes is as usual one of the highlights of the range, unwinding in the glass with aromas of peach, ripe citrus oil and beeswax mingled with hints of toasted nuts and reduction. Medium to full-bodied, ample and satiny, it's pure and precise, with racy acids and a saline finish. Now bottled under Diam, this will reward some bottle age.
