Vivid aromas of honeysuckle, yellow apple, quince, beeswax, honey and a distinctive note of petrol introduce the 2019 Châteauneuf-du-Pape Blanc. It is medium to full-bodied, refined and framed by gentle acidity.

Score 89/100 · Drink 2020-2025, Jeb Dunnuck, Oct 2020

Based on 40% Grenache Blanc, 30% Clairette, 20% Roussanne, and the balance Picardan and Bourboulenc, the 2019 Châteauneuf Du Pape Blanc from Roger Perrin is one of the more round, ripe, easygoing whites of the vintage. It gives up lots of spiced apple, dried flower, dried pineapple, honeysuckle, and spicy aromas and flavors as well as medium-bodied richness and depth on the palate. Drink bottles over the coming 3-5 years.
