(tasted from cuve ; 80% of the crop was lost to hail): Healthy dark red. Airy aromas of red cherry and flowers. Suave in texture, conveying a juicy quality to the flavors of red cherry, redcurrant and spices. Finishes with fairly serious tannins and a medicinal suggestion of menthol.

The 2014 Beaune 1er Cru Clos de la Féguine, picked on September 21, has a light, slightly smudged blackberry and raspberry-scented bouquet with earthy scents coming through. The palate is smooth on the entry, easy going with fleshy red cherry fruit mixed with raspberry and mulberry, a touch of salinity evolving towards the finish. Enjoy this over the next 4-5 years.
