Even more cedary than the Mont de Milieu. Dry and slightly sour. Dusty but a little bit hard at the end. (JH)

The 2018 Chablis Fourchaume 1er Cru is bold and creamy in the glass, with striking textural richness. This is the only wine in the range done entirely in steel, and it is easy to see why, as the Fourchaume has so much natural intensity on its own. Dried flowers, mint and lemon confit are some of the notes that infuse the rich, sumptuous finish. The Fourchaume is a wine of real power and intensity. It is also wonderfully alluring.
