2022 Arbois Pupillin Ploussard

The 2022 Arbois Pupillin Ploussard (red wax) is a wine I tasted last year when it was still unbottled. It shows the character of the year. It has much more color and a riper profile, in the style of the 2003. It has some volatility, more structure and more tannin and feels like it's going to require some time in bottle. I usually like their reds at around 10 years after the vintage, perhaps a little earlier this time. But you can drink it anytime, of course, and most people will drink the bottles (too) soon... It has good acidity but a more southern feeling, with notes of candied and concentrated fruit.
