Score 96/100 · Drink 2020-2035, Luis Gutiérrez, Wine Advocate, Dec 2017

The 2010 Château Chalon is more closed and austere, following a cooler season that resulted in less volume, fresher palates and more vertical wines, pretty much in line with the 2007. This feels extremely shy and ungiving, and I recommend waiting a good couple of years before pulling the cork. All the soils from Château Chalon are Liassic clay, and they provide a very specific type of wine, possibly the most complete for Vin Jaune.
