Score 93/100 · Drink 2019-2029, Stephen Tanzer, Vinous, Aug 2016

Pale bright yellow. White peach, tangerine, lime, ginger and flowers on the pungent, almost exotic nose, with a floral quality building with air. Dense, oily and rich, but with enough acidity and minerality to maintain its balance. At once tactile and seamless, and deceptively approachable today owing to its umami-like saltiness. But this wine has the spine to age.

Pale yellow-green. Scented aromas of lime, lemon, white peach and acacia flower. Silky and plush in the mouth for a Pernot wine; very concentrated and tactile but on the soft side. Very ripe citrus and stone fruit flavors are complemented by vanillin oak. Finishes round and seamless, with enough citrus cut to maintain its shape.
