Score 16/20 · Drink 2007-2013, Jancis Robinson MW, Oct 2009

Mid crimson with a pale ruby rim. Some odd oak on the nose – not quite clean? Quite dense and open with some dry tannins on the finish. Mid weight and something just slightly cooked on the nose. Good weight and balance, but it's the aroma that doesn't seem quite pure. Could do with a little more freshness. Drying finish. (JR)
