2016 Patache d'Aux

The 2016 Patache d'Aux is medium garnet-purple colored and features quite an herbal nose over a core of cassis, black raspberries and redcurrant jelly plus suggestions of mossy bark and pencil lead. Medium to full-bodied, the palate is filled with herb-sparked red and black fruits, framed by chewy tannins and finishing on an earthy note.

The 2016 Château Patache D'Aux is a charming, attractive Médoc that has an almost Graves-like character in its smoky, earthy character. More cedar, spring flowers, and tobacco develop with time in the glass and it’s medium-bodied, has an elegant texture, and a clean finish. It’s ideal for drinking over the coming 7-8 years.

Bright, ripe and attractive blue and purple-berry aromas with a subtle dark-stone edge and more savory, slate-like nuances. The palate has quite a dense and deep, juicy array of ripe dark berries and delivers a long, smooth and flavorful finish. Good wine.
