Tasting notes
A serious white from Pichon Baron, the 2023 Les Griffons De Pichon Baron Blanc is all Sémillon sourced from limestone soils in Pauillac and brought up nine months in neutral barrels. Honeyed lime, melon, and minty, mineral-driven nuances all emerge from this beauty, and it's medium-bodied and concentrated on the palate, with integrated acidity and outstanding length. Give it a few years and enjoy over the following decade or more. There are roughly 178 cases produced. Drink 2028-2038.

The 2023 Les Griffons de Pichon Baron Blanc has a straightforward bouquet, clean and crisp, with pear and light camomile scents. The palate is clean and fresh with a slightly oily texture, sesame and light Thai fish oil scents (and I don't write that in a negative sense) toward the finish.
A delicious debut wine. Tropical fruit on the nose and palate, showing mangoes and limes with sliced apples. It\'s full-bodied and flavorful, with layers of fruit and a waxy finish. Pure semillon sourced from the Suduiraut estate in Sauternes. Drink now.
Muscular but sculpted, has delivered on its En Primeur promise, showing precision, depth and pleasure. Preserved citrus, elderflower, grilled cumin, sage, liquorice.Technical director Pierre Montégut. The vines are on a cooler gravel sector of the Pichon Baron site, and are massal selected Sémillon from Château Suduiraut. Harvested September 11, fermented and aged in barrels for 9 months, on fine lees with regular stirring, no malo and new oak. Technical director Pierre Montégut.
