The 2023 Volnay Les Chevrets 1er Cru is a plump, juicy wine. Blue/purplish fruit, spice, new leather, licorice and lavender are all dialed up. This is one of the more immediate Volnays in the range. What it slightly lacks in complexity, it more than makes up in its alluring embrace.

A fine crimson purple. A little fresher than the Frémiets, with pure red fruit, cherry and raspberry, a little more mouthfilling, stays youthful all the way through, very well mastered, an impressive Chevrets.
