The 2015 Champagne Dizy Terres is made from Pinot Noir grown on red calcareous soils along with some limestone. A copper golden color, the fruitiness comes to the forefront as it opens, with loads of red fruit leaping from the glass along with notes of quince and peaches. On the palate, it has a tremendous personality to its character, offering notes of toasted bread and citrus oils as well as a lovely spice to the mousse that it enhances on the palate. A full-bodied expression with a long finish, this is a wonderful and broad cuvée to enjoy over the coming 20 years. Disgorged in April of 2023, this saw zero dosage.

This tiny 1.33-hectare plot, entirely planted with Pinot Noir in 1993, is the cradle of the 2015 Extra-Brut Premier Cru Dizy - Terres Rouges. Revealing aromas of spring flowers, herbs, toast, tobacco leaf, red berries and menthol, it's medium to full-bodied, tense and straight, structured and perfectly balanced, with a long, phenolic and chalky finish. This is an excellent, singular rendition of Pinot Noir, a combination of finesse and power. Disgorged in March 2023 with no dosage.

This is a pure pinot noir from a small part of a single vineyard in the village of Dizy, showing lots of framing from beautiful phenolics and wonderfully ripe fruit. Yet, it's driven and bright and well-integrated. It's full-bodied and rich, but fresh. This is one to pair with all sorts of food. No dosage. Drink or hold.

The 2015 Extra-Brut Dizy-Terres Rouges Premier Cru is bright, airy and nicely lifted. It’s an especially floral, mid-weight expression of Pinot Noir. Crushed flowers, dried herbs, spice, cedar and tobacco give the 2015 a strong aromatic presence. Although a bit light, the 2015 is very nicely delineated and also avoids the assertive vegetal notes that afflict so many wines in this vintage. Bottled with no dosage. Disgorged: March, 2023.
