The 2022 Chablis Montée de Tonnerre 1er Cru is another wine that shows the mark of oak on the nose, though again, it just needs time to be subsumed. The palate is quite concentrated with lime, pithy pear and touches of peach skin. There is plenty of extract here, but I appreciate the acidic thread that keeps it tensile on the finish. I'm intrigued to see how this will age in bottle. Tasted blind at the BIVB tasting in Chablis.
