Score 95/100 · Drink 2020-2028, Stephan Reinhardt, Wine Advocate, Jul 2016

A dark cherry color announces the 2012 Blaufränkisch Lutzmannsburg Alte Reben, which shows a ripe and intense, but very noble and elegant, bouquet with lovely fresh and floral flavors. The full-bodied and powerful wine is dense, concentrated and fleshy, structured by ripe and smooth tannins that give a juicy and elegant texture, whereas the refreshing acidity lends finesse and balance. The finish is intense and long and reveals a lot of energy.
