Score 93+/100 · Drink 2019-2025, Antonio Galloni, Vinous, Aug 2016

The 2012 Brut Nature Les Hautes-Chèvres is 100% Pinot Meunier from vines planted between 1930 and 1971. Old-vine power, breadth and intensity comes through loud and clear. The 2012 is going to need at least a few years to settle down, as it is still quite raw and unpolished. There is more than enough pedigree to support a good decade-plus of very fine drinking. The 2012 is Laval's first pure Meunier from old vines.
