Score 94/100 · Drink 2023-2030, William Kelley, Wine Advocate, Dec 2023

Marie-Noelle Ledru has been retired for some years now, but she continues to disgorge and release wines from time to time, and this summer I was able to acquire a few magnums of her 2006 Brut Grand Cru. The broad, ripe vintage means this is less chiseled than is often the case at this address, but the wine remains very attractive, offering up aromas of golden orchard fruit, honeycomb, brioche and oyster shell followed by a medium to full-bodied, vinous palate with good underlying cut and tension, concluding with a bone-dry finish. This may not make especially old bones by Ledru's standards, but it's a lovely wine.
