Score 17.5/20 · Drink 2006-2014, Jancis Robinson MW, Jul 2008

This Meursault estate owns a veritable ‘murderers’ row’ of grands crus, both red and white. They have only 0.337 acre in Chevalier, enough for two new barrels, about 850 bottles. The vines were 24 years old in 2000 . Lovely nose with real richness and real opulence. Savour and raciness with a hint of coffee. Real substance and length. Very satisfying for current drinking even if without the promise of that much more development. (JR)

The 2000 Chevalier-Montrachet bursts from the glass with boisterous spice aromas. Candied berries, loads of minerals, and stones are found in this rich, ample wine's intense character. It is vinous, concentrated, and has outstanding depth. Projected maturity: 2004-2012. Importer: William Deutsch and Sons, White Plains, NY; tel. (914) 251-9463
