Tasting notes
Score 90-93/100 · Drink 2001-2008, Robert Parker, Jun 1999

Only two barrels of the aromatically muted 1997 Chevalier-Montrachet were produced. On the palate it displays magnificent power, intensity, and concentration. This is a dense, oily, and medium-to-full-bodied offering packed with pears, apples, and minerality. Furthermore, it possesses an impressive finish. While its nose was muted, this wine has all the attributes of a grand vin. Anticipated maturity: 2001-2008. Imported by William Deutsch and Sons, Armonk, NY; Tel. (914) 273-1221.
