Score 89-91/100 · Drink 2021-2035, Neal Martin, Jan 2019
The 2017 Beaune Clos de la Mignotte 1er Cru is the first release since the previous vintage was frosted out. It has a gorgeous, ripe, almost decadent bouquet of precocious dark cherry, blueberry and violet aromas. The palate is medium-bodied, offering sappy black fruit and a fine line of acidity. Chewy in the mouth, with a subtle marine influence toward the finish. Can I describe this as "sexy"? Sexy.
