The 2017 Chapelle de Potensac has a bouquet with more red than black fruit, cranberry and raspberry aromas laced with cedar. The palate is well balanced, simple with slightly chalky tannin, fine acidity with a short, easygoing finish. Fine.

The 2017 Chapelle de Potensac is an attractive second wine from Hubert Delon's Médoc property. Soft, silky and open-knit, the 2017 is quite pretty, but its light to medium-bodied structure suggests it is best enjoyed over the near term. The red berry and floral notes are nicely delineated throughout.
72% Merlot, 21% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Cabernet Franc. Very little new oak. TA (sulphuric) 3.59 g/l, pH 3.63, IPT 55. Bright crimson. Lots of sweet fruit, juicy red fruit, succulent and filled with fruity pleasure. You could pretty much drink this now, the fine tannins are just in the background. All freshness. (JH)
The second wine of Château Potensac and a blend of mostly Merlot (21% Cabernet Sauvignon and 7% Cabernet Franc), the 2017 Chapelle de Potensac offers a vibrant ruby color as well as a fruity, plums, silky style. It's already delicious and geared for early drinking
