The 2019 Chablis Fourchaume 1er Cru has a light, inoffensive but slightly predictable nose. The palate is saline on the entry and a little simplistic, with sour lemon on the rather attenuated finish. So-so.

This has the chalky minerality and the touch of austerity you expect from Chablis, but also super balance of ripe and fresh components that glide gracefully over the palate. Long, delicately salty finish. From organically grown grapes. Drink or hold.
