Tasting notes
Tasted blind. Ripe with polished tannins and the freshness of St-Estèphe. Real stoniness but with good fruit weight underneath. (JR)

The 2014 Goulée By Cos D’Estournel is a supple, enjoyable, slightly weedy 2014 offering moderate depth and richness, but certainly some charm.
The 2014 Goulée by Cos d'Estournel (to give it its full title) has a crisp, smoky, blackberry and cedar-scented bouquet that is well defined and displays good intensity. The palate is medium-bodied with grainy tannin, a fine line of acidity, supple in the mouth with blackberry, cedar and a dab of dark chocolate on the finish. This is better than earlier vintages and should drink well for several years.
About the producer

Louis Gaspard d’Estournel inherited Cos and Pomys in 1791, founding Cos d’Estournel in 1811, investing significantly in the property and expanding the estate from 14 to 45 hectares. The estate rapidly rose to prominence and the wines were exported around the world.
