A real success, Piuze's 2020 Chablis 1er Cru Montée de Tonnerre unfurls in the glass with aromas of orange oil, peach, pear, freshly baked bread, pastry cream and oyster shell. Medium to full-bodied, satiny and layered, it's taut and concentrated, with racy acids and a pungently mineral finish.

The 2020 Chablis Montée de Tonnerre 1er Cru presents a tightly wound nose that opens with aeration, revealing sea spray and orange peel notes, quite strict and focused. The palate is well balanced with fine acidity, taut and fresh, although I find the Vaulorent displays a little more personality and complexity on the finish.
