Score 89/100 · Drink 2016-2028, Neal Martin, Wine Advocate, Jun 2015
The 2012 Morey Saint Denis Très Girard has a lifted, floral bouquet with touches of orange rind infusing the dark berry fruit. The palate is medium-bodied with a dash of sea salt on the entry. It feels nicely balanced and quite structured, the finish a little austere at the moment but demonstrating impressive persistency. This is very fine.

(the Ligniers have offered this bottling from purchased grapes since the 2009 vintage): Moderately saturated medium red. Aromas and flavors of redcurrant, faded rose, brown spices and menthol. Spicy and slightly medicinal on the palate, showing good cut and energy. Finishes with dusty tannins.
