Score 88/100 · Drink 2017-2020, Joe Czerwinski, Wine Advocate, Nov 2017
The full-bodied 2015 Vinsobres Altitude 420 registers a bit of alcoholic warmth on the palate, but it does offer supple tannins framing ripe cherry and raspberry flavors. Drink it over the next 2-3 years.

60% Grenache, 40% Syrah. Vinified in temperature-controlled stainless-steel tanks. 10% of the wine spent 12-15 months in new foudres. Tank sample. Tasted blind. Blackish purple. Intense super-ripe, sweet, black fruit aromas. Something a bit sinewy and meaty on the palate stops it being sickly. Though there is not that much fruity follow-through on the palate. Lots of work has gone into this! (JR)
