2019 Reyneke Cornerstone

Made from 75% Cabernet Franc and 25% Cabernet Sauvignon, the 2019 Cornerstone—also called “Capstone” in the American market—opens to classic dark red and black fruit tones with soft herbal essences. Medium to full-bodied, the palate is just-ripe with a juicy heart that offers an expressive and elegant balance of succulent tannins and energetic acidity that captures the Cabernet Franc-dominant expression with precision and finesse. The wine continues to uncoil as it glides to a delightfully food-friendly finish. Only 12,000 bottles were produced of this delightful wine. Bravo!
