The 2015 Brut Cuvée Paradis is a blend of 65% Chardonnay and 35% Pinot Noir. The base wines were vinified in small oak barrels without malolactic fermentation. Oaky toastiness on the nose nearly attains a sheen of cumin. The palate continues in the same toasty, rounded, smooth fashion, made even smoother and richer by the fine mousse. Freshness, however, counters with virile brightness that lends direction and vigor. A rich, rounded but superbly bright wine. Dosage is 8 grams per liter. Disgorged: July 2023.

Full bottle 1,650 g. Disgorged January 2024. Produced in small quantities and a blend of two-thirds Chardonnay to one-third Pinot, all from premier cru and some grand cru vineyards. Nutty, marzipan-rich and clementine sweetness streaked through with bright lemon acidity and glistening with the very finest of bubbles. So fine it's almost smooth! Satin peach and nectarine fruit. So much fruit! But also serious and structured. (TC)

This seemed a little austere and dry on opening yesterday but it's a serious wine with remarkably high acidity and masses of fruit. Zesty, slightly bitter kumquat flavours. No hurry to drink this. Satisfying persistence. (JR)

The 2015 Champagne Cuvée Paradise Brut is a bright silver-straw hue and reveals ample aromas of fresh bread dough, toast, lemon blossoms, fresh flowers, and ripe pear. Full-bodied and elegant, with a pillowy mousse, it’s ripe but has good underlying tension, with a persistent core of acidity that drives through the finish. Here, the rich texture of the wine feels more harmonious in the overall balance. It deserves another year or two in the bottle to improve, then drink 2025-2035.
