Tasting notes
The 2021 Chambolle-Musigny Village comes from lieux-dits in Les Veroilles, Les Drazey, Les Fremières and Les Argillières. This demands a little coaxing from the nose to wit, a "bashful fella," discrete dark berry fruit and sous-bois , a little Morey-like in style. The palate is medium-bodied with firm tannins, quite fresh, a slight coarseness in terms of texture with a short, no frills finish. This just leaves me wanting more, though racking will open it up.

The 2021 Chambolle-Musigny Village exhibits aromas of sweet red berries, plums, spices and peonies, followed by a medium-bodied, taut and penetrating palate, with a pretty core of fruit and a bright spine of acidity, emphasizing tension over texture.
