Tasting notes
What might be the finest wine I've tasted from this vineyard in St. Helena, the 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Bourn Vineyard has a full-bodied, flawlessly balanced, beautifully pure style that carries ample darker currant-like fruit, some chocolaty oak and tobacco nuances, ultra-fine tannins, and a great finish. It's a gorgeous bottle of wine that will evolve for two decades.

There are just 75 cases (the fewest of any of the Myriad bottlings) of the stunning 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Bourn Vineyard, so I expect availability will be limited to the mailing list. On the nose, mixed cherries join some suede-like notes, plus scents of dried spices and dark chocolate, while the palate is full-bodied, rich, creamy and lush, with a lovely texture and tremendous length on the finish.
From a site outside of St. Helena, the 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Bourn Vineyard is all about elegance and purity, with medium to full body and a soft, supple, seamless mouthfeel. It offers classic Napa cassis and blue fruits, a kiss of background violets and flowers (this site is never overtly complex), fine tannins, and outstanding length.
