Tasting notes
Year after year, the Schist Vineyard site gives them 20% smaller grapes than the Granite Vineyard site. The 2021 Schist Syrah is dusty and floral with elegant and powerful red and black peppercorn tones that seduce the nose. Medium-bodied, the palate reveals a fresh, herbal and savory essence that's beautifully balanced with flavors of dark cherry skin while offering a firm tannic edge. Delivering incredible mineral tension, this devastatingly gorgeous Syrah will have no trouble aging for over two decades. Bravo!
