Tasting notes
72.4% Chenin Blanc, 6.4% Sémillon Gris, 6.3% Clairette Blanche, 6.3% Grenache Blanc, 6.2% Viognier, 2.4% Verdelho. Apple, melon, a drizzle of honey and something floral too. Gorgeously caramelised palate, giving an impression of sweetness. The fruit is really charming, ripe and tropical without any confection. It has a sort of pomegranate flavour, which isn't a descriptor I've ever used before. Savoury finish with a long, lightly smoky aftertaste. South Africa at its best. (RH)

Opening to a slightly reductive nose, the 2022 Old Vine White offers aromas of citrus blossoms, turned earth and wax melon with yellow apples and Meyer lemon. Medium-bodied, the palate is fresh, bright and succulent, with a kiss of phenolic bitterness before finishing with a long, spicy finish. It's incredibly food friendly and will continue to deliver pleasure for years. Nicely done!
