2020 Meerlust Pinot Noir

The nose of the 2020 Pinot Noir begins with a softly reductive essence in the glass, while persistent swirling allows the aromas of red fruit to lift with notions of turned earth. The wine is medium-bodied and has a tart and tannic mid-palate, and the finish leaves me wanting more complexity and layers to push my score higher. The wine rested in French oak barrels for 10 months. Only 24,000 bottles were made.
