An appealingly fresh if decidedly brooding nose grudgingly offers up its array of violet, anise, lilac and range of dark berry scents. The beautifully textured mouthfeel is a combination of volume, punch and refinement while exuding a touch of minerality on the youthfully austere and impeccably well-balanced finale. This is excellent.Drink 2032+

The 2022 Beaune 1er Cru Bressandes is pure and ethereal, wafting from the glass with scents of raspberries, rose petals, spices, blood orange and raw cocoa. Medium to full-bodied, ample and suave, with lively acids, melting tannins and a saline finish, it's a lovely rendition of this first-rate hillside terroir.

The 2022 Beaune Les Bressandes 1er Cru has a fragrant bouquet with vivid red berry fruit, crushed stone and flint, the 50% whole bunches simpatico with the fruit. The palate is medium-bodied with a slightly more lactic entry, white pepper and a hint of dark chocolate. Soft landing on the finish. This will be approachable in its youth but has the substance to age well in bottle.

Half whole bunch. Medium to bright purple, with some quite attractive mid raspberry fruit. Despite a minor reductive touch this has excellent energy with a fine fresh finish. A lovely long aftertaste, spicy yet showing the freshness of the fruit at the same time.
