Tasting notes
Side-by-side with Champeaux, the colour contrast couldn’t be greater. This is quite a pale, slightly opaque purple. Roast coffee competes with blackberry and flint, with bright acidity and quite fine tannins. Fair length of cedar and flint. (TJ)

The 2018 Morey-Saint-Denis Clos des Ormes 1er Cru, apparently one of Pascal Marchand’s favorite wines, has an elegant, attractive bouquet of blackberry, dark chocolate and crushed stone aromas. The medium-bodied palate offers fine-boned tannin and fine acidity, quite linear and precise, and a persistent finish. This should drink beautifully once in bottle.
