A wonderfully seductive and still completely primary nose of intensely spicy black berry fruit with hints of hoisin¡ soy and cassis leads to overtly mineral-inflected flavors that possess ample amounts of dry extract that coat the palate and buffer the structure on the admirably long finish. This is developing very well and should make for a beautiful bottle in a few years.

Very deep crimson. Some furry animal stuff on the nose – not the purest – a bit overripe and brutal. No delicacy. Bitter finish. (JR)
Good, bright medium red. Complex, aromatic nose combines dark raspberry, singed orange, smoke, flowers and spicy oak. Creamy and rich in the mouth, with an almost velvety texture and a restrained sweetness to the musky flavors of red berries and pungent smoky minerality. Still a bit tight but finishes with noteworthy persistence.
Medium red-ruby. Highly perfumed, very ripe nose offers cherry, raspberry, currant and smoke. Dense and ripe but sappy, with excellent depth of fruit and perfectly integrated acidity. A fairly powerful, chewy wine for this address and for the vintage, finishing with noteworthy breadth.
