2015 Les Haut Chardonnay

From the upper heights (such as they are) of the Mont Benoit's chalk dome, Brochet's 2015 Extra-Brut Les Hauts Chardonnays unwinds in the glass with aromas of dried white flowers, honeycomb, lemon oil, confit citrus and yeast extract. Medium to full-bodied, deep and mineral, and concluding with a bone-dry finish, it's more structured and introverted than the beautifully sensual 2014, but there's serious concentration and extract here to reward a bit of patience.
