Tasting notes
Bollinger's 2013 Aÿ Rouge La Côte aux Enfants has a beautiful purple-ruby color and opens with a deep, beautifully sweet and concentrated, almost floral bouquet of ripe cherries, cherry skins and licorice. This is very fine and fresh but also intense on the well-defined nose. Intense and fresh on the well-structured and even salty palate, this is a medium-weight, super elegant, perfectly balanced and charming Pinot from a single grand cru plot of four hectares. The finish is tight, fresh and salty and reveals remarkable elegance and finesse.
