Tasting notes
Lovely fresh-pineapple nose with some spice. Ripe and juicy with a lovely balance of creaminess and very fresh acidity, the chalky element of the wine building nicely at the finish. From biodynamically grown grapes. Drink or hold.

The 2019 Chablis Mont de Milieu 1er Cru, matured entirely in stainless steel, has a clean, fresh bouquet, quite flinty in style. The palate is well balanced with a touch of orange zest on the entry, fine acidity and a light saline finish.
They both own vines and buy grapes from here and are trying to encourage farmers to move to organic farming. Hand-picked. No oak. Bottled. Greenish tint to the pale straw. This was clearly a riper vintage than usual in Chablis. It's pure with a streak of stoniness but is just a little softer than I would like in a premier cru Chablis. (JR)
