Maintains the character of the Jouard wines. Finesse and precision here but lacks a bit of the heft of the Maltroie perhaps. Fine Chassagne nonetheless. (AWH)

The 2020 Chassagne-Montrachet Morgeot Les Fairendes 1er Cru has a well-defined bouquet with yellow plum, orange pith and light peachy notes - all very seductive. The palate is well-balanced with a fine bead of acidity, taut and fresh with good weight on the finish that just needs a little more tension. But I admire its purity.
