Score 89/100 · Neal Martin, Wine Advocate, Dec 2013

This 1976 Clos-Saint-Denis Grand Cru is one of a number of 1976 Pinot Noir that have aged with style. It has a pastille-like purity on the nose with dark cherries and anis, indicating quite a heavy extraction. But the palate is plush and supple in the mouth with well-judged acidity and a pleasing, almost succulent finish that belies its age. Lovely – but do not leave any bottle too much longer. Tasted September 2013.
