Tasting notes
Ruby-red. Suave, floral scents of cherry, strawberry preserves, raspberry, smoked meat, vanilla bean and mocha. Medium in weight but packing serious flavor, with sweet red berry and cherry flavors beautifully complemented by earthier notes of cured tobacco, musky underbrush and fresh herbs. A silky, wonderfully pure wine with superb balance and the texture and brightness of a major-league Burgundy. Finishes supple and long, on a note of ripe cherry.

Very good to excellent vintage. Extremely sweet and round and rich. Some animal notes but not very refreshing. Furry tannins. (JR)
