Tasting notes
The 2020 Morey-Saint-Denis 1er Cru Clos Sorbé mingles aromas of ripe berry fruits and cherry compote with notions of loamy soil and licorice. Medium to full-bodied, rich and ripe, it's fleshy and demonstrative, with powdery tannins and a long, penetrating finish.

The 2020 Morey-Saint-Denis Clos Sorbés 1er Cru is more tightly wound and backward compared to the other cuvées from Fourrier, neat and precise yet timid on the day that I visited the Domaine. The palate is well-balanced with a smooth opening, ripe and fleshy, fine acidity, building nicely to a more open and precise, sorbet-fresh finish. This is another impressive 2020 from Jean-Marie Fourrier and his team.
