Tasting notes
(80% aged in stainless steel tanks and the rest in new demi-muids ): Pale yellow. Lively citrus and orchard fruit scents, along with subtle herb and floral flourishes. Tight and minerally on the palate, offering intense yellow apple and orange flavors underscored by a gingery quality. Echoes the mineral note on the finish, which shows excellent clarity and persistence.

The 2013 Châteauneuf du Pape Blanc (mostly Clairette, but with some Grenache Blanc) is an outstanding white that has some apple, green citrus and mineral notes in its medium-bodied, fresh profile. The style here is fresh, crisp and delineated, but it has good fruit as well. Drink it over the coming 3-4 years, although it will evolve for longer.
