Tasting notes
Prévost's 2012 Les Beguines (Late Release) is the same wine as the original release, but it spent an additional year in cask. Powerful, dense and captivating in every way, the Late Release hits all the right notes. The 2012 is quite vertical in its structure, yet also possesses tons of pure fruit intensity. At press time Prévost was unsure of the release date for this wine, or of its exact name. Dosage is 2.5 grams per liter. Disgorged August 2015.

A wine of crystalline tension and precision, the NV (2012) Les Beguines has been exceptional on the two occasions I have had it thus far. Scents of dried pear, almond, mint and sage open up in the bouquet, but it is the wine's textural brilliance that stands out above all else. Salivating and refreshing on the palate, the 2012 is virtually impossible to put down, so captivating is its overall balance. Readers who can find the 2012 before it is gone from the market should not hesitate. This is a triumph from Jérôme Prévost. Dosage is 2 grams/liter.
