Score 86-88/100 · Drink 2019-2024, Neal Martin, Jan 2019

The 2017 Aloxe-Corton Village is a blend of four vineyards – Les Cras, Cras Poussuets, Les Boutiers and Les Petits Vercots – that comprise two hectares. It has a lifted, slightly menthol-tinged bouquet that opens nicely in the glass, though it remains quite simple compared to the 2016 or 2015, for example. The palate is fresh and lively on the entry, offering sweet, ripe tannin, plenty of juicy red fruit and a slightly predictable yet still enjoyable finish.
